The film reflects on our impermanence and reminds us never to take the people we love for granted.The video was inspired by our one-month journey in Mexico, where we were guests at CutOut Fest 2024 in Querétaro, before continuing our journey through the Yucatán region. Visual elements in the film draw from this experience, including cenotes (natural water-filled craters), and masks. The film is a kind of travel diary divided into four chapters, documenting in a surreal way the month we spent on Pico, living in a windmill and exploring the island’s wild landscapes. The film reflects on the relationship between humans and nature, and shows the island’s living ecosystem. Special thanks to Saša, Sofia, Eduardo, and the NU’VEM Artist Residency for making this experience possible.
