CIANG is an artistic duo formed by Francesca Colombara and Matteo Dang — both directors, 2D animators, and illustrators from Italy.
CIANG studio is an independent 2D animation studio, founded in 2021, that specializes in creating animated shorts, music videos, and commercials, known for its distinctive underground and psychedelic style.
Their work has been featured in numerous international animation film festivals and art exhibitions.
Over the years, they have collaborated with a wide range of clients and brands, including GIPHY, FX, Adidas, Bloomberg, TED-Ed, VICE, and A Studio Digital.
Matteo Dang is an Italian-Vietnamese 2D animator and illustrator. Co-founder of CIANG. Born in 1994, he graduated in New Art Technologies from the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in 2017. Matteo is also the curator of Serato Animato, a nomadic screening event dedicated to indie animation.
Francesca Colombara (CIANCI) is an Italian 2D animator, illustrator, and comic artist. Co-founder of CIANG. Born in 1994, she graduated in Decoration from the Academy of Brera (Milan) in 2017 and completed a master's degree in Comics at the Academy of Bologna in 2021.
Her graphic novel 'Panic!' has been published by Centrala in English, Czech, and Polish. She has collaborated with many clients and brands including FX, TED-Ed, GIPHY, Tesco, Vans, The North Face, Dickies, Bloomberg Business Week. Francesca loves painting on wood, crocheting, and walking in nature.
